The Open Championship's second round is wrapping up at Royal Portrush and a familiar name is atop the leaderboard after Friday's action. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler surged into sole possession of first place heading into the weekend at golf's final major of 2025, putting together the best round of the day (7-under 64) to wind up one shot ahead of 2022 U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick at 10-under overall for the tournament.
